Privacy notice

This notice explains what information TaskBuddys collects when you use Send Home to send gifts to people in Nigeria, why we use it and how we look after it.

What we collect

• Your contact details — name, email, phone/WhatsApp number and the country you live in.
• Recipient details — the recipient’s name, phone number, delivery location and address, and preferred delivery date.
• Order details — the gifts, quantities, extras, personal messages and the itemised costs of your order.
• Personalisation files — any photo or logo you upload for personalised packaging or gift cards.
• Payment references — reference numbers from our payment provider showing whether your payment succeeded. TaskBuddys does not see or store your card number.
• Delivery proof — photos or videos taken by our local Buddy when a gift is delivered.
• Operational notes — internal notes our team adds to arrange preparation and delivery, such as the Buddy assigned to your order.
• Bulk enquiries — organisation, contact details, quantities, locations and notes you send us.

Why we use it

We use this information to take payment, prepare and deliver your gifts, contact you or the recipient about the delivery, send you order confirmations and delivery proof, respond to enquiries, prevent fraud and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with service providers who help us run Send Home, including Stripe (card payments), our website hosting and database provider, and our email delivery provider. Recipient details are shared with the local Buddy handling the delivery.

Card payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe on secure payment pages. TaskBuddys never receives or stores your full card number.

How long we keep it

We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil your order, handle any questions or refunds, and meet legal and accounting requirements. Personalisation files and delivery proof are kept only as long as needed for these purposes.

Security

Order information, personalisation files and delivery proof are stored privately and are only accessible to authorised TaskBuddys staff. Files are shared internally through short-lived secure links.

Your rights

You can contact us to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

If you give us a recipient’s details, please make sure they are happy for you to share them so we can deliver their gift.
